About MediaBooks

MediaBooks is a marketing agency that works exclusively with accounting firms across the United States. We help firms grow through strategic marketing, including social media, websites, email marketing, branding, podcasts, and content creation.

We're looking for an organized, creative, and detail-oriented Content Creator to join our growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone early in their marketing career who wants hands-on experience creating content for a variety of accounting firms while learning from an experienced marketing team.

What You'll Do

As a Content Creator, you'll support our account managers by helping create and coordinate marketing content across multiple platforms. No two days are exactly the same, but responsibilities may include:

  • Creating branded graphics in Canva

  • Writing social media captions and posts

  • Scheduling content through Metricool

  • Writing email newsletters and campaigns

  • Drafting blog posts

  • Assisting with content planning and organization

  • Coordinating with account managers, video editors, and graphic designers throughout the content creation process

  • Reviewing content for grammar, consistency, and brand voice

  • Supporting additional marketing projects as needed

What We're Looking For

We're looking for someone who enjoys writing, is naturally organized, and has a creative eye for design. This is an entry-level position, so we're less concerned about years of experience and more interested in finding someone who is eager to learn, takes initiative, and communicates well.

The ideal candidate is:

  • Organized and detail-oriented

  • A strong written communicator

  • Comfortable managing multiple deadlines

  • Able to work independently while collaborating with a remote team

  • Open to feedback and revisions

  • Curious and willing to learn new marketing skills

Our Work Style

MediaBooks is a fully remote team built around flexibility, trust, and accountability. We understand that great work doesn't always happen between 9:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m., and we don't expect everyone to follow the same schedule.

Some of our team members are parents balancing work around nap schedules and school pickups. Others enjoy the flexibility of traveling while they work or simply prefer working evenings instead of mornings. We care far more about the quality of your work, meeting deadlines, and communicating with the team than when or where you complete your work.

Experience with any of the following is a plus, but not required:

  • Canva

  • Squarespace

  • Metricool

  • Flowdesk

  • Calendly

  • ManyChat

  • ChatGPT or other AI tools

  • Social media management

  • Copywriting or blogging

Expectations

  • Approximately 10 hours per week to start, with opportunities for additional hours as the company grows.

  • Respond to Slack messages within 24 hours.

  • Meet agreed-upon project deadlines.

  • Communicate proactively if questions or roadblocks arise.

  • Maintain the quality standards and brand voice established by MediaBooks.

Interview Process

Our hiring process consists of three steps:

Step 1: Interview with two members of the MediaBooks team so we can learn more about you, your experience, and your interest in the role.

Step 2: Complete a small paid content creation project that reflects the type of work you'll be doing as part of the position.

Step 3: If we feel you're the right fit for the team, we'll extend an offer to join MediaBooks.
